If you are looking for alternative accommodation we have four 4 beautiful and newly built self catering studio apartments on the sea front at Idlewild , Galina in St.Mary, only a 20 minute drive from the exciting tourist resort town of Ocho Rios Centre and Almond Tree Villa.

Being close to the main Ocho Rios to Port Maria road these apartments are in an ideal position for those who want to be away from all the hustle and bustle of the major resorts but still want to be within easy reach of all the amenities. For larger parties staying at the apartments we have a mini bus working the Port Maria to Ocho Rios route on a daily basis and we will arrange to pick you up as many times a day as you require from Golden Tower or from anywhere along that route. For individuals or couples staying at Golden Tower travel is also really cheap and easy. We will put you in touch with local taxis or you can easily flag one down in a matter of minutes.

The Golden Tower complex has breath taking views over the Caribbean Sea from the cliffs and is refreshed by a cool sea breeze. You will enjoy the tranquillity of this rural retreat. Each studio apartment sleeps 2 or 3 adults or a family of 2 adults and 2 children and is fully air conditioned. The apartments have everything you need. They are immaculately clean and very comfortable.

The modern design kitchenette is equipped with a 2 ring gas cooker and/or a microwave oven, a stainless steel sink and a pristine and very adequate work top space and a small fridge freezer.
Pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and all the necessary kitchen utensils are supplied. There is also an electric kettle and a coffee maker so you can sample the World’s best coffee, fresh Blue Mountain every morning.

Our very comfortable beds are changed and made up once a week when our maids come in to thoroughly clean throughout the rooms and towels are of course supplied. Though please take your own beach towels.

Each apartment has its own en-suite shower and toilet  and a TV with the local stations.

Everything you need is right on your doorstep

In close proximity we are only about 2 miles and a five minute drive away from the rustic and developing town of Oracabessa (Derived from Spanish “oro de cabeza” which means  “Golden Head”) with its quaint  shops, stores, bars, restaurants and churches and banking facilities. The famous Golden Eye Resort and James Bond Beach are right here on your doorstep.

Ocho Rios is a splendid major tourist resort with an impressive array of hotels, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The local shops offer everything from arts and crafts to T-shirts and other souvenirs . The market is well worth a visit with its huge selections of exotic fruits, fresh produce and fish. Other nearby tourist attractions include  Prospect Plantation and Chukka Cove for horse riding, Dolphin Cove where you can swim with the dolphins, Island Village, Bob Marley's birthplace at Nine Mile and playwright Noel Coward's house Firefly with its spectacular view over Port Maria. Golden Tower is within easy reach of several very beautiful beaches and the famous Dunns River Falls s only a 25 minute drive away.

The town of Port Maria is a 15 minute drive away in the opposite direction with its rich historical sites like the Town Hall, and its lovely churches. There is also a local market and the Paggi fishing village.

Fire Fly, the house built by the World famous playwright the late Noel Coward, is a must to visit with its breath taking views over Port Maria and the Caribbean Sea.
